I have a picture of this scene on my wall.
I am not sure but someone once said that the man holding the horse was my great grandfather Major Flavel,he worked with the horses on the canal and later lost an eye through being kicked by a horse not sure if this story is true.

My Great Grandfather was William George, a Boat Steerman. The picture I have is very similar to the man steering the boat on the left.
